I ran yesterday. A chilly rain and gusty wind made for a delectable cold that whisked away my perspiration and excess heat. Like a sharp bite of cheddar. I hope it's cold and rainy for the relay, I sweat like a pig when the weather is moderately pleasant. I've been conquering the spots that I needed to walk in my previous sessions. I sprint over them, and it is spit in their eye. I usually run my final leg pretty hard. Strangely enough, on my
final legs. But I started early this time in the dash. This was mostly sparked by the song to which I was listening. I have a mix of Radiohead, MuteMath, Underoath, Dashboard Confessional (yes, I'll admit it), and Thrice that sets the stage for my battles. It was 1:52 in Thrice's Abolition of Man that pushed me over the edge. If you have the album (Artist in the Ambulance), find track 11, listen from 1:52 onwards and you will know what I mean. A truly epic piece of music. I could run for miles (4 miles?) to that outro alone. In reality I was conquering my run, but it felt as though I was conquering all of the Evil in the world with each impact of my failing feet. Ooh that felt good.
This is a drawing of my brother. Without his permission. I hope he doesn't beat me up.

I too have Dashboard Confessional in my playlist.
I don't run, though. I just can't do that. Nope.
